I often get asked by my current and prospective clients which is the better choice, so today I’m addressing this important question: eyebrow lamination or eyebrow henna? Both techniques have skyrocketed in popularity in recent years, but which is best for you? Let me share my opinion and experience to make the decision easier.
What is eyebrow lamination?
Brow lamination is an innovative treatment that allows you to achieve the desired shape and appearance of your eyebrows. This process is a special treatment that helps the brow fibres to align and bind in the right direction, so that they retain their desired shape permanently.

What is eyebrow henna?
Brow henna is a natural colouring process that colours both skin and hairs. Henna is made from only natural ingredients, making it a safe and skin-friendly choice. Results last up to 4-6 weeks, but only last 1-2 weeks on the skin.

Eyebrow henna vs eyebrow lamination

Result | Colouring, richer effect | Shaped, neat eyebrows |
Length of the process | Shorter, about 30-45 minutes | Longer, about 50-60 minutes |
Benefits | Natural dyeing, skin and hair dyeing | Longer lasting effect, neater and shaped brows |
Price | Generally cheaper | Generally more expensive |
Ideal skin type | Suitable for all skin types, especially sensitive skin | Suitable for all skin types |
Hair type | Suitable for all eyebrow types | Especially good for tangled, difficult to manage fibres |
Which one should I choose?
The choice depends on the result you want to achieve and your brows. If your goal is to get neater, shaped brows that last longer, then brow lamination may be a better choice. Laminating is especially good for those who have tangled, hard-to-manage strands and want their brows to always be groomed and shaped.
If, on the other hand, you swear by natural ingredients and want to add a little extra colour, brow henna could be the ideal solution.
My own experience
In my personal experience, both treatments can produce good results. After eyebrow lamination, our clients always leave satisfied, as their eyebrows will be natural, yet perfectly shaped and neat. And the eyebrow henna is great for those who want to go natural and also tint their skin.
